E-coupon system

The food is distributed with an e-coupon system. The e-coupon’s unique number is sent via sms to the cell phones of the persons that need to get the food. To manage social distancing, the recipient is also informed what time period to collect the food. The e-coupon is only active during the indicated period.

The e-coupon is validated when the recipient of the e-coupon enters the e-coupon number. The allocated amount of food is dispensed if the coupon is valid. The coupon cannot be used again. If the wrong coupon number is entered the food will also not be dispensed.

The recipients of the e-coupon food are registered on a database. The personal information of the recipient is entered as well as the number of dependants in the family.

The information is used to determine the amounts of food that need to be dispensed as well as the frequency of dispensing in days. A family of 5 will typically receive 5 kg of the instant porridge every week while a family of three will receive 3 kg of the food every week.
